Endora Commerce is now Open Source

Endora Commerce is available as Open Source. Here is what you get in the open version, which integrations are paid and what we are working on over the coming months.

In September we announced that Endora Commerce would be opened. The code is now in the Endora Commerce repository on GitHub, available under the MIT licence.

What does the Open Source version include?

The free version of Endora Commerce is a complete B2B store with its admin panel. Among other things, it covers:

  • Catalog: variants, custom fields and organisation-specific prices.
  • Buyer organisations: roles, addresses and credit limits.
  • Buying: carts, quote requests, quick orders and shopping lists.
  • Order handling: an invoice register, returns, stock levels and shipment tracking.
  • Payments: bank transfer, cash on delivery and credit limit.
  • Content and marketing: page and email builders, search, promotions, SEO, product feeds, and data import and export.
  • Channels and currencies: support for multiple sales channels and currencies.

A fresh installation enables all of these modules. You can switch off the ones you do not need in the admin panel.

How do you run the platform?

You need Node.js 22.18 or newer and Docker. Two commands start the installation:

npx create-endora-commerce@latest my-shop
cd my-shop && pnpm run dev:all

The installer asks, among other things, about demo data and the admin account, then starts the API, the admin panel and the storefront. Installation details and module descriptions are in the Endora Commerce documentation.

How can you join the project?

The current task list is in the GitHub issues. It spans the backend, the admin panel, the storefront, tests, tooling and documentation.

  • good first issue: small, well-described fixes to start with.
  • help wanted: larger topics where experience with e‑commerce platforms helps.

The collaboration rules are in CONTRIBUTING.md, and we answer questions on the Endora Commerce Discord.

Which integrations are in the paid version?

The paid version includes payment gateways, PIM and ERP integrations, carriers and invoicing systems:

The open version contains the layers these integrations are built on: payments, delivery methods, shipments, and ERP and PIM connectors. You can therefore build your own adapter for the system you use.

On rollouts delivered by Endora, paid modules are part of the agreed rollout cost, with no separate line item after go-live.

What does revenue from paid modules fund?

It funds the team that maintains the core, prepares further integrations and develops the documentation. We are refining the model with partners and the community, so we would be glad to hear your thoughts.

What are we working on now?

The next release will be a CRM module built into Endora Commerce. In parallel we are improving the performance of existing modules and publishing further demo videos on YouTube that show how individual modules work.
