When we started work on Endora Commerce in April 2026, it was an experiment. We wanted to find out whether years of e‑commerce implementation experience could become a coherent product: a platform that understands contract pricing, buyer organizations, requests for quotation, multi-warehouse inventory and back-office integrations from day one.
Three months later, the experiment had become a complete B2B platform. Endora Commerce now has more than 60 modules, 25 integrations and three contributors. Opening the project is the next step.
What we plan to release in October
We plan to release Endora Commerce as an Open Source project in October 2026. This is more than an announcement; some of the infrastructure needed for the release is already in place:
- we have a public organization and an Endora Commerce repository on GitHub,
- we have reserved the Endora Commerce organization on npm, where packages will be published,
- we are clarifying module boundaries and dependencies, and preparing the documentation needed to run the platform independently.
The public repository will let technical teams inspect how the platform is built, run it in their own environment and extend it around their actual processes. Open code also makes it easier to assess quality before committing to a rollout, while reducing dependency on a single vendor.
A free core and paid modules
We are currently separating the platform into free and paid modules. The free part should be a genuinely useful foundation for a B2B platform, not merely a demo. Selected extensions will remain paid.
This model serves two purposes. First, it lets the community use, understand and improve the platform. Second, it provides sustainable funding for the team maintaining the core, addressing security, delivering new integrations and improving the documentation. The Open Source release can therefore be an actively developed product rather than a one-off code dump.
For implementations delivered by our team, paid modules will be included in the agreed implementation price. They will not appear later as an unexpected additional charge for extensions used by the project. Scope and cost will remain clear at the rollout planning stage.
A trusted implementation partner program
An open product also needs a strong implementation ecosystem. That is why we plan to launch a trusted Endora Commerce partner program for companies and teams that want to implement the platform, create integrations and build solutions for their clients.
We intend to provide partners with technical materials, quality standards and a direct collaboration channel with the product team. We will publish the program details as the October release gets closer.
If you develop e‑commerce software, deliver B2B implementations or want to use Endora Commerce in a client project, get in touch through our contact form. We would be glad to meet your team before the program launches.
What happens next
Between now and October, we are focusing on package structure, the boundary between free and paid modules, installation documentation, and a clear path for the first contributors and partners. We will share progress on this blog.
